ABOUT PROJECT

When designing this 4,000 sq. ft. commercial project in Kalamassery, Ernakulam, our vision was to create a landmark that seamlessly balances bold industrial aesthetics with functional, climate-responsive architecture. We chose a perforated Corten steel facade as the signature defining element of the building. As the material naturally weathers over time, it develops a rich, protective patina that thrives in Kerala's humid tropical environment without requiring maintenance. Beyond its striking visual identity, the metallic screen functions as a high-performance outer skin. During the day, the geometric perforations shade the interior from direct solar heat while filtering soft, dynamic daylight into the workspace. As night falls, the building transforms allowing light from within to diffuse through the facade. Ground-level tropical greenery softens the steel above, providing an inviting entry experience for visitors and tenants alike. Through thoughtful materiality and spatial planning, we aimed to craft a contemporary commercial space built to endure and inspire.
